Facilities at the Pestana Grand Hotel Madeira

The outstanding outdoor pool complex with several palm-tree planted islets, an attractive convex bridge and a big thatched band stand covers more than 1000 sq. m and is supplied with seawater that is extracted directly from the sea below the cliff. The swimming pools are surrounded by spacious sunbathing areas, equipped with deck chairs (parasols and towels provided free of charge), extensive gardens featuring many tall palms and lawns, giant planted terracotta pots as well as exotic rock gardens, one of which has an outlook platform with benches and a giant chess game.

The fitness area is equipped with a gymnasium, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and an indoor swimming pool that has fitted jet streams to add a little more exercise to your swim. The wellness area includes 4 treatment rooms providing a wide range of skin care programs and massages using the latest treatment methods to enhance your well-being.

Other facilities at the pool level are a library a leisure lounge, a games room and a hairdresser. In the impressive lobby you will also find a souvenir shop and an Internet access area.

Conference and banqueting facilities of different capacities are available on the pool level and on the top floor of the hotel, also providing a large roof terrace with breathtaking panoramic views for outdoor events accommodating up to 180 persons.
